Podcasts

The podcasts i chose are very important to the teaching environment. The first Podcast is one that talks about all the different equipments that teachers use and how they are beneficial to the students and the overall learning that takes place. 

The second podcast that i posted is about ESL students and that is students who are currently in the process of learning english because they are new to it. These are approaches that teachers take in order to help these students. I myself use to be one of those esl students and so i believe that teaching others about ways to help esl students is very important. 

Lesson Planning

Lesson Planning is one of the most important things that you can do in order to have a successful teaching day. When a teacher comes to class organized and with step by step instructions on how she is going to lead the day, she will have a good day. If a teacher takes ten minutes before each lesson to try and prepare because she didn't earlier in the day then that means that the students learning time is being wasted because of the teachers lack of planning. Teachers should have lesson plans for everyday, at-least for the first few years that they teach. It will help them keep organized and it will also give them ideas that they can use in the future. Lesson plans are very important and even at the end of each day, just taking a minute or two to see what went well and what needs improvement on will really make you a more successful teacher. 

Teaching in the Classroom

Elementary Teachers have a huge responsibility. it is out job as future teachers to know the materia and be prepared each and everyday to teach many different lessons. elementary teachers transition from topic to topic so many times a day that you have to be ontop of your lessons because if you arent, you will be losing classroom time. It is very important to be responsible in the classroom. as a teacher, we will be responsible for over 20 students every single day for 8 hours. we will need to know where the students are at all times and keep track of their progress in the unit. Teachers have a big responsibility on thier shoulders everyday and being prepared is very important.

What Is Elementary Education

Elementary Education consists of children from kindergarden all the way to 8th grade. Elementary Education is anthing after preschool and everything before high school. In most cases, there is one teacher per classroom of about 20 students and that teacher teaches all of the subjects in the class, other then things such as music and art. Elementary Education is the primary education years and it when children learn the most. Reading and Writing are the two main kills that the teachers concentrate on. It is very important for students to learn those basic skills first, because those first skills they learn wil help them with everything and anything they do later on in their lives. Education is important and is something that should be taken seriously.
